Mya was always drawn to the world of arts but it wasn’t until her late 20’s that she discovered the world of design, specifically, product design. Mya is now attending the Minneapolis College of Arts and Design in Minnesota to pursue and expand her knowledge in this industry; expected graduation year is 2025. With a few years left, Mya has already worked with many various mediums; such as wood, foam, fabrics, metals, and cardboard. As a product designer major, Mya’s focus is designing user friendly product solutions. With a few product solutions already in her portfolio, Mya is well experienced with the design process.

“I am currently a Product Design major at the Minneapolis College of Arts and Design in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Every semester, I learn more and more about myself and the kind of designer I want to be when I graduate. As a product designer, I am very focused on user experiences with my designs. Although there are challenges with every user, every market, and every design, when I am able to overcome that challenge with my designs, it gives me a great sense of achievement and joy. The journey of connecting with my users and being able to design something for them to connect with is simply something that I am very grateful for and enjoy very much. Great designs make great impacts and that’s what I look forward to doing.”
